Immigration isn’t just what I do, it’s a personal part of who I am
Maria Rodriguez joined the Arias and Pereira team in June 2025 working as one of our immigration paralegals. She was born and raised in Miami, FL as the daughter of Nicaraguan immigrants. Growing up in an immigrant household gave Maria an understanding of the challenges, hopes, and resilience that come with starting over as an immigrant in a new country.
Maria earned both her Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies and Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Brown Mackie College. For over 11 years, Maria worked in both nonprofit organizations and private law firms, helping individuals and families navigate the United States immigration system. As a former DOJ Accredited Representative, she has had the honor of representing clients in USCIS interviews and even in immigration court.
Presently, Maria continues to support our clients with care, attention to detail, and a real commitment to their journeys as one of our paralegals at Arias and Pereira, PLLC. Maria’s goal is to always make people feel heard and supported. Immigration isn’t just what Maria does; it is a personal part of who she is. Maria is driven by her passion for helping others to move forward with dignity and confidence.
